In a few weeks I'll be back in the Barkin' Bakken Oilfield, for now, enjoy this gem fro this winter.
I've been roughneckin' a lot lately, a nice turn from the Pipe side of things, a nice paycheck too. Rigs are a lot of fun and a good sense of pride and work. Most of the full-time roughnecks are a close knit group too. I'll be stopping in TS now and then to say hi to everyone.

I little somethin' for y'all.

My day consisted of 1400 feet of 20' deep trenching, tomorrow will consist of hand digging the rest of the way to the Natural Gas pipe #CantBeAPipelinerAndAPussy

Sad to see you go brother, but life comes first, especially service. Good luck out there and keep your head down.

Ask your old lady how I lay my pipe.

We used good shoring techniques and hole engineering, because our track hoe operator is an excavating god.
-
We dug a 10 foot hole to get the pipe daylit so we could begin to cut the existing flanges and replace them with new pipe, but the hole was right above an Artesian well, so it kept filling with water.
The hole didn't cooperate, so we ordered a dewatering engine. Finally, the hole was able to be finished and we placed our trench box, because any hole that is over 4 feet deep is required to be supported by a trench box.

It was one of those days, gentlemen.

In honor of yesterday being Taco Tuesday

Dramatic pose?

Dolan's hand trenching skills are yet to be matched.

Just your average Meat Shield Dolan, hole diving to attach a negative to an underground storage tank in West Fargo, North Dakota.
-
Just something I thought I'd start because I like sharing with others about the places I travel to and the things I get to do, and show off to some degree what I do for a living and what I love.
This is a photo from around Mid July in North Dakota of us laying a smaller line for a local distributor.
