  1. All Personnel, New Promotional Video. Similar video with some variations to be published next week. As always, please "Like" in Youtube, and watch in High Definition.
  2. All, Some of you may have heard that Marine General James "Mad Dog" Mattis is President Elect Trump's choice for Secretary of Defense. Mattis is very likely the most beloved Marine Officer since Chesty Puller! Some know Mattis for his many colorful quotes. The following is one of them. Mattis was an excellent Marine Officer who loved his Marines! The following is a story which will illustrate one of the reasons he is so loved and admired and respected. (He was forced to retire by Pres Obama who gutted the military and Marine Corps of some of their finest officers). A General Mattis Christmas Story A couple of months ago, when I told General Krulak, the former Commandant of the Marine Corps, now the chair of the Naval Academy Board of Visitors, that we were having General Mattis speak this evening, he said, “Let me tell you a Jim Mattis story.” General Krulak said, when he was Commandant of the Marine Corps, every year, starting about a week before Christmas, he and his wife would bake hundreds and hundreds and hundreds of Christmas cookies. They would package them in small bundles. Then on Christmas day, he would load his vehicle. At about 4 a.m., General Krulak would drive himself to every Marine guard post in the Washington-Annapolis-Baltimore area and deliver a small package of Christmas cookies to whatever Marines were pulling guard duty that day. He said that one year, he had gone down to Quantico as one of his stops to deliver Christmas cookies to the Marines on guard duty. He went to the command center and gave a package to the lance corporal who was on duty. He asked, “Who’s the officer of the day?” The lance corporal said, “Sir, it’s Brigadier General Mattis.” And General Krulak said, “No, no, no. I know who General Mattis is. I mean, who’s the officer of the day today, Christmas day?” The lance corporal, feeling a little anxious, said, “Sir, it is Brigadier General Mattis.” General Krulak said that, about that time, he spotted in the back room a cot, or a daybed. He said, “No, Lance Corporal. Who slept in that bed last night?” The lance corporal said, “Sir, it was Brigadier General Mattis.” About that time, General Krulak said that General Mattis came in, in a duty uniform with a sword, and General Krulak said, “Jim, what are you doing here on Christmas day? Why do you have duty?” General Mattis told him that the young officer who was scheduled to have duty on Christmas day had a family, and General Mattis decided it was better for the young officer to spend Christmas Day with his family, and so he chose to have duty on Christmas Day. General Krulak said, “That’s the kind of officer that Jim Mattis is.” The story above was told by Dr. Albert C. Pierce, the Director of the Center for the Study of Professional Military Ethics at The United States Naval Academy. He was introducing General James Mattis who gave a lecture on Ethical Challenges in Contemporary Conflict in the spring of 2006. This was taken from the transcript of that lecture.
  3. Creech, Thanks very much. This is exactly what I was aiming for. I've never seen anything like this from another of the other units/teams out there and I intentionally wanted to do something different. I want people to remember us as that "Unique" organization with fun guys doing fun things. I want people to look for our videos and look forward to our videos! I truly appreciate your encouragement and comments. Thanks again.
  4. All Personnel, The following is a year end montage for our viewers, a little bit commercial, and Christmas wishes message all rolled into one. Short, simple, sweet. OK, probably not sweet, but short and simple. I hope you all like it, although it is really directed at our viewers and fans. However, I wish you all a Merry Christmas as well.
  5. Quotes by people who know Marines, those who are our friends, and our enemies, are part of the lore of the Marine Corps. Those who have seen Marines in combat best understand what a Marine is. Marines can say things about themselves all day long, but we are obviously bias. I'll be posting quotes from friends and foe about the Marines in the future. Here are two quotes from friendly warriors who fought along side U.S. Marines.
  6. A happy Christmas story for you all. I love a happy ending.
  7. . This is obviously a joke, cause all the Marines I know would rather fight than eat!
  8. All Personnel, Part 2 of Operation Verdant Gate 11-16. Some of you sharp eyed guys will recognize I put the tail end of the first nights op at the beginning of Part 2. As always, please "Like" on Youtube so our channel gets more "hits" and hence more viewers. Watch in High definition. This video is rated "R" due to all the bloody scenes, not because we are Raiders.
  9. Leonard, if you graphics card dies, give me a shout and I'll send the one I just replaced. It's a more powerful card than you are using now, and as you can see from my videos, it gives very clear and great graphics.
  10. .Not sure if this should be posted in "Humor" or "History"??
  11. All personnel, Operation Verdant Gate 11-16, Part 1. Will finish this when I get back after Thanksgiving Holiday. As always, please "Like" the video on Youtube, and watch in High Definition.
  12. Green, You are really talented. I love your videos. Keep them coming and thanks for taking the time to do them.
  13. All Personnel, Verdant Gate 10-16. As always, watch in High Def.
  14. All, Operation Verdant Gate, 09-16, "Yasa Island Raid". My voice didn't record again. I've figured out the correct setting but for some reason it wants to switch back. I won't happen again as I'll check at the beginning of each mission or op.
  15. Green, A star is born. That was a fantastic video. Awesome graphics. I am so happy someone other than me made a video. Would you be willing to have your videos on our 4th MRB YouTube Channel? Thanks again.
  16. All Personnel, Be advised, I re-posted an older video when I discovered it didn't upload to the high resolution quality of our other videos. I noticed this happens sometimes, although I don't know why. The upload worked fine this time and this video is now in 1080p HD as it should be. I made a custom thumbnail and modified part of the video to more accurately describe the mission. It's wasn't a rescue mission as I labeled it; it was a HVT Capture mission. In any event, if you've seen the video before, it is 98% the same. Note: I've been going back and adding custom thumbnails to the older videos to try and attract more viewers. You can help by posting links to our Youtube channel page or a specific video. The more people see our videos, the more likely we'll attract new members, and I'm sure you all want that!
  17. All Personnel, Part 1 of Operation Verdant Gate. Part 2 to follow shortly. As always, watch in High Definition. Once again, my voice did not record but it doesn't matter. You can easily tell what is happening. (The thumbnail screen shot shows Banshee's vehicle ahead, racing at high speed, shortly before it smashed into a tree)
