  1. Sgt Moskal As a returning member who was previously grandfathered in during the initial standing up period, you will be processed back in at your previous rank of E-5 Sergeant, with a billet of 0372 Critical Skills Operator. Having already completed all other required courses, you need only successfully complete the range course (both rifle and pistol) in order to qualify for your Marine Special Operator Insignia; now a pre-requisite for those wishing to hold a billet. S-1 please process Sgt Moskal back in to reserves as requested. Welcome home Sgt Moskal.
  2. Great video as always, your comments on the variety of frankly curious scopes made me laugh. One thing though... whilst you were away, and we deployed here to Afghanistan, training nights have taken on a new aspect. About half the time we do training as usual, though it will genuinely be training, it'll look and feel like training. The other half we've been doing "patrol-ops", which I'd describe as 'light operations'. This session was a patrol-op, not training. Big welcome back to you - and your videos!
  3. This. That is literally magnificent. Absolutely magnificent. I'm at a loss for words. Superb.
  4. The Razer software eventually did my head in, after as I said a decade. Though here I am with my beloved Razer Mamba, my 3rd one, and the software is doing my head in, so I never learn. My previous keyboard was a Blackwidow, can't complain with the keyboard TBH. I was considering moving to a Blackwidow Chroma Stealth Tournament, when I switched to the WASD. I'd recommend the Stealth versions, the non-Stealth keyboards are ludicrously loud. Sounds like an army of giant ants are attacking your desk.
  5. You're not wrong, though for different reasons. I play with the room lights off, immersion etc plus it's 2-3am, so my keyboard is only illuminated by ambient light coming from the monitor. This didn't matter when I had a keyboard with illuminated keys - I'd used Razer keyboards for a decade previously - but when I shifted to this non-lit keyboard it caused an awful lot of fumbling in the dark. As any grown adult will concede, too much fumbling in the dark always results in unwanted shots fired.
  6. Highly recommend the WASD keyboards. Not illuminated - and that's the only downside, but mechanical however you want it (i.e. choices, choices), and customised however you want it. Literally a metric butt ton of customisations. For example, I have an 88-key custom, with keys coloured in my Chicago Bears team colours (I picked), choice of font style & colours, with Cherry MX Brown switches underneath, a further 0.2mm Red 0-ring on each key to reduce travel. So pretty specific customisation.
  7. Pursuant to the Goldwater-Nichols Defense Reorganization Act of 1986, the United States Special Operations Command was established on April 16, 1987, at MacDill Air Force Base, Florida. MARSOC was not formed and folded in until 2006, nevertheless, Happy 30th Birthday SOCOM.
  8. Sgt Blackburn As a returning member who was previously grandfathered in during the initial standing up period, you will be processed back in at your previous rank of E-5 Sergeant, with a billet of 0372 Critical Skills Operator. You must complete all outstanding certifications ASAP in order to qualify for your Marine Special Operator Insignia and remain in billet. S-1 please process Sgt Blackburn back in to MSOT 8410 Tactical Element 2.
  9. If this solution works - nice workaround! Makes sense. Arsenal didn't use exhibit this behaviour, and then suddenly one day out of nowhere it inexplicably started doing it. Spent many hours trying to find out what I'd put in the init/desc or scipts that was causing it, and never did run the issue down. Good to hear there's plans to resolve it with the TFAR boys.
  10. Great video, very funny. Apart from the emo-ambush at the end, not funny You've been hugely appreciated during your time with us, I know we all wish you the very best luck with your next chapter - exciting stuff! I'm sure you'll ace it. You'll always be welcome back here when training & service allows you to be, and we genuinely hope you will find that time. I certainly do. I was about to close with, "Semper Fi, virtual Marine", then I realised you're a virtual seaman. Insert jokes here.
  11. Nice video, great instruction, and good job class. #proudcapt
  12. Agree 200%, enjoy the little touches, the moment of comedy you add to most videos. Not overdone, not too much, just right! Will be missed whilst you're away!
  13. How did your new card work out for you in Arma/on Tanoa training earlier this week?
  14. So far, the best yet! Awesome video SSgt Spencer!
  15. Framerate aside, another fantastic video BTW. Love the music inserts, the tactical rape bit made me laugh out loud, and the frag in the corridor.
  16. If you haven't already discovered the root of your framrate problems, I'll wager now you're running an NVIDIA card and you updated to the latest 375.86 drivers. They be broken, and robbed me of 30-40 FPS in Arma, Division, GTA to name but a few. I rolled back to 375.70 and hey presto all my framerate returned. http://www.pcgamer.com/nvidias-latest-drivers-are-adversely-affecting-video-memory-speed/
  17. Much as with SSgt Spencer's videos, these are invaluable for observation and correction. For example, I had no idea the MK V weapon systems were clearly as borked as they are. I'll be factoring that in going forward. Question, when you were pulling your carbine up to the telescopic scope (as opposed to the red dot), did you realise you were in the 'zoomed out' 1X position, as opposed to the zoomed in 4X position?
  18. Awesome video, very nicely put together, great production. Welcome aboard Seaman Recruit Green!
  19. Copy what SSgt Crowley said, I read every post!
  20. US Special Operations Command Europe (SOCEUR) just posted up these videos of MARSOC (in Woodland cammies) and NSWU-2 Navy SEAL (in NWU Type III or AOR 2 cammies) operators jumping out of a UH-60 Black Hawk at 13,000' over Germany.
  21. I don't think anyone is going to complain about that SSgt Spencer. You're an unrelenting workhorse!
